Coalhurst woman charged in Taber assault

TABER, AB – The Taber Police Service (TPS) has apprehended a suspect in relation to an assault this past weekend.

At approximately 12:15 pm on Sunday, August 28, 2022, officers were called to a local tavern on a report of a disturbance.

Their investigation determined that a woman had attacked two other women in the establishment.

One of the victims suffered significant facial and dental injuries after being struck with a glass bottle.

The other victim was also struck in the face with a glass bottle, resulting in significant facial injuries.

Both victims were taken to hospital for treatment.

A 35-year-old woman from Coalhurst is charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

Taber Police have not released the name of the suspect.
