Lethbridge Police investigating a hit and run
LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Police Service is investigating a hit and run involving two pedestrians on August, 31, 2022.
Police say a 64-year-old man and a nine-year-old girl were on a mobility scooter crossing Mayor Magrath Drive South at the intersection of Parkside Drive South at around 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, when they were struck by an SUV turning northbound onto Mayor Magrath Drive.
Both sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and were treated at the hospital and released.
No license plate was reported, but the SUV is described as an older model SUV that was light brown in colour. The driver is described as a 30-35-year-old Indigenous female with black hair. Witnesses reported that children were also inside the SUV at the time.
