PATRICIA JANE SALMON passed away peacefully at the Raymond Health Centre, on Friday, September 16, 2022 at the age of 81 years.
Pat is survived by her husband Mel, children; Lorelei Rose, Sharon (Stewart) Thompson, Todd (Lori) Salmon and Nancy Churchill; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sisters Rose Bartsoff, Darlene Wagstaff; and a brother Peter (Donna) Coppieters.
Patricia (Pat) was born to Peter and Mary Coppieters the third youngest of nine children on June 30, 1941, in Raymond, AB. She was raised on the family farm on the Milk River ridge and spoke fondly of the times she spent milking cows and herding cattle on horseback. The family moved to Raymond where Pat attended school and worked at the Bank of Montreal. In 1956, Pat met and fell in love with “the guy of her dreams”, Mel Salmon. Pat and Mel were married on July 2, 1960 and moved to Lethbridge where they raised their family of four. While welcoming grandchildren and running their business Pat also enjoyed quilting, needlework, knitting, crocheting and was a talented seamstress. Once retired Pat and Mel travelled and returned to reside in her hometown of Raymond. Pat loved her family dearly and gave a bit of herself to so many with whom she shared her life with. She leaves us with beautiful memories, her support, advice, encouragement and love.
