City of Lethbridge begins fall leaf collection program

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Don’t “leaf” it to the last minute, the City of Lethbridge has opened the phones for the Residential Fall Leaf Collection program.

Starting October 3, 2022, residents can call 311 Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to schedule a time to have their collected leaves taken to Yard Waste Recycling Sites around the city.

Pick up locations are the same as where you put your collection bins each week, but leaves must be inside paper yard waste bags, and the bags must weigh less than 10 kg or 25 lbs each.

Lethbridge residents who are participating in the first phase of the Curbside Organics program can just put their leaves into their green bin, or for gardeners, backyard composters work too.
