Ottawa to spend $3.8 million on residential energy retrofits in Lethbridge
LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Government of Canada and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) will allocate $25.6 million to make homes in four Alberta communities greener.
Funding through the Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP) will allow residents to take advantage of new home energy retrofit financing programs.
The City of Lethbridge will receive a total of $3,814,300.
Mayor Blaine Hyggen says this investment will ensure the city can provide assistance to residents to make real and tangible energy efficiency and sustainability improvements to homes.
