Lethbridge Police investigating fatal collision

LETHBRIDGE, AB – A Lethbridge man has died following a collision in the city.

The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) was called to the intersection of Mayor Magrath Drive South and Scenic Drive South just after 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2022.

LPS reports that a motorcycle was travelling southbound on Mayor Magrath and proceeded through the intersection when it was struck by a northbound vehicle that was turning west onto Scenic Drive.

The motorcyclist, a 25-year-old Lethbridge man, suffered significant injuries and later died in hospital.

The 46-year-old man driving the car and his female passenger were uninjured.
