LETHBRIDGE, AB – A Lethbridge man is facing criminal harassment charges related to calls made to several businesses in Medicine Hat.

Police say they have received multiple complaints over the past couple of months from staff about harassing and indecent phone calls. These calls were said to be repeated, unwanted, and lewd in content.

The Medicine Hat Police Service says, in many cases, the repeated calls disrupted normal business operations.

Jacob Jacobson, 31, was arrested on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, and is charged with six counts each of criminal harassment and making indecent telephone calls, and one count of breaking an undertaking.

He was released and is scheduled to be back in court on Thursday, October 13, 2022.

Police believe there may be other victims in the community who have not reported their concerns and ask any business that has received these types of calls to call 403-529-8420 and speak with an officer.
