Lethbridge Old Dogs win softball gold

LETHBRIDGE, AB – A group of seniors from Lethbridge proved that they are the best softball players around.

The Lethbridge Old Dogs 65s competed at the Huntsman World Senior Games in St. George, Utah, which took place from October 3-15, 2022.

The team came out with a gold medal in B Division softball.

The Old Dogs won three straight games in the playoffs en route to their top-of-the-podium finish.

The first saw them trailing the Texas RGV 9-1 in the second inning before coming out with an 18-14 victory.

The team then outlasted the Old Stock from Vancouver 16-15 and 14-13 in consecutive games to claim the gold medal.
