Lethbridge Police seeking suspect in hit-and-run collision with pedestrian

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect who allegedly struck an underage girl with their vehicle.

At approximately 7:43 a.m. on Monday, October 24, 2022, LPS says a 15-year-old girl was crossing 23 Street North westbound on 15 Avenue North at the crosswalk when she was hit by a southbound vehicle.

The girl was knocked to the pavement and has been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the driver did not stay on scene and fled in a southbound direction. No description of the vehicle was provided.
