LETHBRIDGE, AB – It’s the weekend, Lethbridge, and these are just a handful of things happening around town that you just don’t want to miss.

It’s a Wonderful Life: Live Radio Play Fundraiser – November 18-20, 2022

Prior to streaming services, cell phones and podcasts, there were radio plays. This live radio play at the Yates Theatre is a great way to get into the Christmas spirit. For three days only, gather around with family and friends as you listen to the holiday story, It’s A Wonderful Life. This event is a fundraiser for the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization, with all proceeds going towards supporting programs and resources for local seniors. Tickets are still available online.

Lethbridge Hurricanes at the ENMAX Centre – November 18-19

The Lethbridge Hurricanes are back in town this weekend playing against two separate Albertan teams. On Friday, the Hurricanes face off against the Red Deer Rebels at 7:00 p.m. at the ENMAX Centre. On Saturday at 7:00 p.m., Lethbridge will play the Edmonton Oil Kings. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.

Indigenous Makers Market – November 18-19

Support Indigenous small businesses and shop local for authentically-made Indigenous crafts and miscellaneous items. It’s the perfect time to find Christmas gifts while simultaneously helping out some local entrepreneurs. You can check it out for yourself from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday or 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday at Fort Whoop-Up.

2022 SAAG Holiday Market – November 18-19

Check out the annual holiday market at the Southern Alberta Art Gallery (SAAG) this week. Satisfy your craving for unique, vintage, and ethical holiday gifts created by artisans and artists from all around the community. Check it out from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday or 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Christmas at Casa 2022 – November 18-19

Another holiday market will be making an appearance downtown this weekend. Christmas at Casa is back for another year, and it will bring in a handful of exciting new vendors. Anticipate seasonal holiday music and plenty of gifts to buy. Get into the Christmas cheer by supporting local artists this holiday season. Check it out from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday or 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is free.

Lethbridge and District Kennel Club (LDKC) Dog Show and Obedience Trails – November 18-20

The LDKC annual dog show and obedience trails are back, and this year spectators are welcome to take part in all the fun. From 8:00 am to 5:00 pm each day, guests are encouraged to watch dogs of all shapes and sizes test their skills in a series of fun trials. Check out all the action at the Lethbridge and District Exhibition from November 18 to 20.

Language Café — November 20

If you’re interested in learning a new language, look no further. Head on down to the Cleo Mowerʻs Café in Nikka Yūkō Japanese Gardenʻs Bunka Centre on Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to practice Japanese while sharing some knowledge of English. The program is free, but guests can purchase a drink or cookie at the cafe.
