LETHBRIDGE, AB – Watch out Lethbridge, there’s another jam-packed week of events coming your way.

From sporting events to holiday festivities, Lethbridge News Now has you covered for all things happening around town.

Christmas Tree Festival – November 21 to 23, 2022

The annual Christmas Tree Festival is set up at the ENMAX Centre this week for its 28th year. The popular holiday celebration is all about raising money for the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation, which helps to support programs and other services by auctioning off 19 beautifully decorated trees. Community members can check out all the holiday spirit for free from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on November 21 and 22, 2022. Those heading out Monday night between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.can also take part in some free skating, indulge in some goodies and snacks, and meet Santa Clause.

The gala and auction takes place starting at 6:30 p.m. on November 23. Guests can bid on their favourite trees and enjoy an evening of holiday cheer. Tickets for the gala are $100 each and can still be purchased online.

World Cup Watch Party – November 23

Canada is playing in the FIFA World Cup for the first time since 1986, so it’s kind of a big deal. The soccer games are scheduled for November 23, 27 and December 1, and downtown Lethbridge is putting on a special event to cheer on the Canadian players. The first three games will be broadcast on a huge LED screen in Festival Square, with the first match starting at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. People are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, and snacks while they cheer on the home country. People are reminded to dress appropriately as the event is taking place outdoors.

Lethbridge Fashion Weekend (LFW) – November 25

Lethbridge Fashion Weekend is back with another show as it hosts the autumn/winter runway at the Galt Museum on November 25, 2022. A number of local designers and talents will be taking the stage this Friday to showcase the latest trends and styles for this upcoming season. Tickets for the show are available in person at Classique Dancewear.

The Nutcracker – November 25 to 27

Juenesse Classic Ballet Society is coming to Lethbridge to present ‘The Nutcracker’. The iconic performance is one of the most loved and popular ballets, featuring the music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The show is running at the Yates Memorial Centre from November 25 to 27, with multiple matinee and evening performances. Tickets can be purchased online at the ENMAX Centre website.

Mayor’s Community Hockey Challenge – November 27

The Mayor’s Community Hockey Challenge is back and will take place on Sunday, November 27th, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at the ATB Centre. This year, the goal is to raise $5,000 through food donations and monetary contributions.Those wanting to attend are encouraged to bring donations of non-perishable food items or cash donations.
