It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, grandfather, son, uncle, brother, and friend, CALVIN POLLON.
Calvin is lovingly remembered by his wife Carol Cotton, grandchildren Angela, Athena and Anthony Jr., parents George and Edna, brothers Keith and Wesley, sister Karen, nephew Adam, niece Angela, brothers-in-law Roland, Donald (Barbara) and Oscar Cotton, and sisters-in-law Donna Smith, Frankie (Oliver) and Marge Cotton.
He was predeceased by his brother Kenny, son Anthony Cotton; sisters-in-law Edwardine Chief Calf, Carrie Ruth and Lucille Cotton as well as many nieces and nephews.
Calvin was born and raised in Rivers, MB. He moved to Lethbridge in 1980 where he eventually met then married Carol. They resided in Lethbridge for many years before moving to the Blood Reserve on the Cotton homestead. It was there he realized his passion of working with horses and Roland would often seek Calvin’s assistance in managing his herd which he enjoyed very much.
Calvin worked more than 10 years at the Lethbridge Exhibition Pavilion as well as for many years assisting with Roland’s craft business. He enjoyed spending time with his friends in Lethbridge however his true love was for his family, especially his grandchildren, and he spent much of his time supporting and visiting with them.
Over the last few years Calvin’s health declined and he eventually moved back to Lethbridge into an assisted living home. Carol and the children would visit him often and on occasion, return him to visit their home on the Reserve.
He will be deeply missed.
