LETHBRIDGE, AB – A familiar face is returning to the Lethbridge Hurricanes organization.

The rights to 2003-born goaltender Jared Picklyk have been acquired by the Hurricanes from the Tri-City Americans. In exchange, the Americans have received a 10th round pick in the 2025 Western Hockey League (WHL) Prospects Draft.

The 19-year-old Picklyk has been assigned to the Humboldt Broncos of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. He was originally selected by the Hurricanes in the seventh-round (148th overall) in the 2018 WHL Draft. Picklyk was traded to Tri-City in November, 2022, in exchange for a sixth-round draft pick. He appeared in two games with the Americans.

Prior to the trade late last year, the goaltender from Kelowna started nine games with Lethbridge, posting a record of 4-5-0-0 with a 3.50 goals against average (GAA), and an .877 save percentage.

In his career, Picklyk has a record of 14-14-3-1 with a 3.60 GAA and a .880 save percentage, primarily with the Hurricanes.

The Lethbridge team returns to action on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, when they host the Swift Current Broncos at the ENMAX Centre.
