CROWSNEST PASS, AB – A Lundbreck resident faces numerous charges following an arrest by the Crowsnest Pass RCMP.

On January 3, 2023, the RCMP received a call for a suspicious vehicle at the Pass Powderkeg ski hill. Police say that the staff at the ski hill recognized the vehicle from past instances where fuel was stolen.

The RCMP responded and located a man, who police say was trying to enter a locked shop. The man was arrested and the RCMP says he was in possession of break-in tools.

A search warrant was executed on the vehicle the suspect was driving. Police say a firearm with ammunition was found, along with drug paraphernalia and a small amount of drugs.

Craig Peterson, 32, has been charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with release order condition
  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Weapon possession contrary to order
  • Possess break-in instruments
  • Careless use of a firearm
  • Possession of a scheduled substance

Peterson remains in custody and is scheduled to be in court on January 12, 2023.
