LETHBRIDGE, AB – Police in Lethbridge are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a transit bus.
The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) says on January 14, 2023, at around 4:42 p.m., officers responded to a report of a pedestrian collision at the intersection of 5 Avenue and 5 Street South.
The LPS investigation found that a 39-year-old woman was crossing the crosswalk when a bus that had been traveling westbound along 5 Avenue South proceeded to turn southbound and collided with the pedestrian. EMS attended the scene and brought the victim to hospital in stable condition.
Police say that sun glare is believed to have been a factor. The investigation is ongoing.
