Lethbridge Police seeking robbery suspects

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is asking for the public’s help in finding a pair of suspects who are wanted in connection to a street robbery.

Between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2023, LPS says a group of people were walking in the area of 8 Street South and 6 Avenue South.

According to police, two unknown men exited a dark-coloured SUV and threatened a 30-year-old man with an edged weapon and a handgun before stealing the man’s backpacks.

The suspects reportedly then fled the area.

LPS describes the suspects as Indigenous but did not provide any further descriptions, but surveillance images of the suspects and the SUV are included in this article.
