Care from the Heart Day Radio-a-thon raises over $255,000

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The 13^th annual Care from the Heart Day Radio-a-thon was a great success.

On Thursday, February 9, 2023, local radio stations, including WILD 95-5 and All Hits B93 FM, shared stories from healthcare workers in the region, in an effort to raise funds and awareness for the Chinook Regional Hospital (CRH) Foundation.

The goal for this year’s campaign was to raise $250,000. Officials noted on Friday, February 10, that over $255,000 has been collected so far.

Allan Bartolcic, Executive Director of the CRH Foundation said in a news release, “A heartfelt thank you, southern Alberta, and appreciation to everyone that donated during this exciting and busy Care from the Heart Day.”

He added, “You continue to provide our hospital with the tools they need to provide our community with the best care possible.”

Funds will go towards the greatest needs at Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge… including training and new medical equipment.
