Police charge man following incident in north Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) has released more information regarding an incident on the north side of the city on Sunday, February 19, 2023.

At around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, police advised residents that officers were on scene in the 600 block of Florence Ho Leoung Crescent North “dealing with an unfolding event.” The public was asked to avoid the area.

The matter was resolved shortly after the advisory was issued, and at 12:47 p.m. on Sunday, the request for the public to avoid the area was rescinded.

The LPS said the incident was in relation to a domestic assault at a residence. A female victim was treated at Chinook Regional Hospital for injuries.
