Lethbridge Police arrest two suspects following weekend stabbing at the ENMAX Centre

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) has charged two men following a weekend stabbing, after the suspects turned themselves in to Blood Tribe Police.

On Sunday, February 26, 2023, LPS officers were at the ENMAX Centre dealing with an unrelated issue, when security notified police at approximately 2:00 p.m. that a stabbing had occurred.

Officers worked quickly to secure the scene and the victim was transported to hospital by EMS with serious injuries. Police indicate the victim remains in stable condition at this time.

Police received video footage from a number of witnesses who observed the altercation, which helped police in the investigation.

Police say further investigation determined that the parties involved were known to one another, and police say it was not a random attack.

Dylan Jeremy Brave Rock, 22, of the Blood Tribe First Nation, and Dalton Mark Old Shoes, 22, of Lethbridge turned themselves in to police on Sunday night.

Both men have been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public.

The suspects remain in custody awaiting release hearings.
