The Alberta Winter Games serve as qualifiers for national games and opportunities to be part of Team Alberta.

However, according to the Chair for the Lethbridge Special Olympics, Anny Chenard, local athletes won’t know for a few weeks if they will be moving on to the provincial team.

Team Alberta will play at the National Games in 2024, and those who are successful may also have the opportunity to be a part of Team Canada at the World Games.
