LETHBRIDGE, AB – It’s set to be another busy week in Lethbridge full of events.

George Canyon at the Yates Memorial Theatre – March 14, 2023

Canadian country star, George Canyon will head to Lethbridge this week as part of his ‘Our Country Tour’. The platinum-selling, JUNO and CCMA award winner will stop at the Yates Memorial Theatre for one night only on Tuesday, March 14. The show starts at 7:30 and tickets can be found online at the ENMAX Centre website.

The Real McKenzies w/ The Anti-Queens and Mombod at The Owl Acoustic Lounge – March 14

Canada’s Scottish punk band, The Real McKenzies, are set to bring a brand new album to the stage at The Owl Acoustic Lounge on Tuesday, March 14. Joining them will be The Anti-Queens and Lethbridge’s own Mombod. Bands start playing at 8:00 p.m. and a limited number of tickets can be purchased at the door.

So You Think You Can Comic – March 15

A handful of comedians will be taking to the stage at The Owl Acoustic Lounge this week for another edition of So You Think You Can Comic. On March 15, stand-up comedians will test out new material and fine-tune their jokes. The show starts at 9:00 p.m. and tickets can be purchased for $10 at the door.

Tabletop Night at Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden – March 16

On Thursday, Dungeon & Dragons fans can head to the Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden for a special Japanese-inspired D&D campaign. The themed game will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $12 per session and includes a hot beverage and cookie. Those interested are asked to email info@nikkayuko.com for a maximum of 12 people per session for six sessions.

Lethbridge Hurricanes at the ENMAX Centre – March 17

The Lethbridge Hurricanes play on home ice this Friday, March 17. The Hurricanes will go head-to-head with the Calgary Hitmen starting at 7:00 p.m. at the ENMAX Centre. Tickets for the game can be found on the ENMAX Centre website.

St. Patrick’s Day – March 17

The cultural and traditional celebration of St. Patrick’s Day will be held on March 17, and there are several events happening over the weekend.

From 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization will be serving beer, wine and a selection of appetizers.

From 7:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., Braeden Rouse & Robyn Alicia will host a live music jam at Honkers Pub and Eatery.

From 9:00 p.m. to late, ULeth WILDIN will host a St. Patrick’s Day party at the Canadian Brewhouse with drink specials and live music. Attendees also have the chance to win a week-long trip for two to Ireland.

From 9:00 p.m. to late, The Owl Acoustic Lounge will offer live Celtic music and green beer all night.

TomorrowLove at the University of Lethbridge – March 14-18

Students at the University of Lethbridge will perform a selection of four short plays about love, technology and the future. TomorrowLove will run from March 14 to 18, starting each night at 7:30 p.m. at the David Spinks Theatre. Tickets are available at the University of Lethbridge website.

Addams Family Musical Comedy at Catholic Central High School – March 13-18

Catholic Central High School (CCH) will put on the Addams Family Musical Comedy with multiple dates throughout March. The performance follows the character Wednesday Addams as she falls in love with a normal young man, and how her outrageous family deals with the news. Tickets for the show are available on the CCH website.

Alberta Genealogical Society – Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday

The Lethbridge branch of the Alberta Genealogical Society opens its resource centre to the public from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Community members are encouraged to come out and learn more about their history and try to trace their family trees. Check it out at 128 – 909, 3 Avenue North in Lethbridge on the posted dates, and learn more on the Lethbridge & District Branch Alberta Genealogical Society website.
