Lethbridge Police investigating armed robbery at north side bank

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is investigating an armed robbery that took place at the CIBC along the 500 block of 13 Street North on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

At approximately 4:15 p.m., police allege that a male suspect entered the bank and brandished a firearm.

According to police, he obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene northbound along 13 Street.

As the investigation is ongoing, LPS indicates no further information will be released at this time.

People who were in the area between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on April 11 and may have dash cam footage or business/residential surveillance video are asked to contact LPS at 403-328-4444 and reference file 23007842.
