LETHBRIDGE, AB – The City of Lethbridge is celebrating Earth Day on Saturday, April 22, 2023, by helping keep hazardous and electronic waste out of the landfill.

From 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Lethbridge residents can drop off household cleaning supplies, solvents, oil, paint and old electronics for free at the ENMAX Centre as part of its Toxic & E-waste roundup.

The roundup is a pilot project that was initiated by Lethbridge City Council in the summer of 2022, which provides a convenient location for residents to drop off household waste within city limits.

Household hazardous waste and e-waste includes, but is not limited to:

  • Paint
  • Used oil
  • Antifreeze
  • Cleaning solvents
  • Gardening and pest control products
  • Light bulbs
  • Televisions
  • Mobile phones

Household hazardous waste and e-waste can be dropped off at the Waste and Recycling Centre year-round.
