Road maintenance to close lanes on Whoop-Up Drive this weekend

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Starting Sunday, May 7, 2023, motorists in Lethbridge can anticipate seeing lane closures along Whoop Up Drive.

A single eastbound lane will be closed, along with two westbound lanes on Whoop Up Drive for guard rail maintenance.

The City of Lethbridge expects work to be completed by 1:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Residents are asked to consider delays resulting from these lane closures.

As well, the Bridge Rehabilitation project will start up again on Whoop Up Drive eastbound over the Oldman river.

Work will begin on the bridge barriers on Monday, May 8, at 9:00 a.m. and is expected to be ongoing throughout the spring.

There may be rolling lane closures during this work.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution in all posted construction sites and follow signage accordingly for everyone’s safety.
