In Loving Memory of Mrs. Tena Selles

1940 – 2023

 

When it was His proper and perfect time, God took home his daughter Tena Selles (Kippers).

On May 28th, 2023, 21 years to the day of her husband’s passing, she passed peacefully into glory and now waits with us all for the resurrection life.

She met Joe (Johannes Hendrikus Selles) after he came to Canada in 1953. They married in 1960 and raised four children together, Bill (Teresa) Selles, Rita (Neil) Pothoven, Chris (Rick) Eenkhoorn and John (Marion Dale Steinke) Selles. Today there are 17 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.

Tena was predeceased by her husband, Joe; her sister, Hennie Peters; and one infant grandson, Daniel Eenkhorn.

She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Jean Selles, Henry (Mary) Kippers, Grace Aikema, Gladys (Dick) Vanderveen, Linda (Harry) Lubbers, Lennert Kippers, Clarence Kippers, Christine Piefers, and Andrew (Pieta) Kippers.

Twenty-one years is a very long time to be away from your life’s partner. Her loneliness is ended and we who remember her are thankful.

Tena will be laid to rest in the COALDALE COMMUNITY CEMETERY on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 10:00 A.M.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at WESTMINSTER CHAPEL, 329 – 19 Street North, Lethbridge, AB, on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Barry Beukema officiating.
