BROOKS, AB – Alberta Health Services (AHS) is looking for participants to take part in a cancer study in Brooks.

AHS’ Cancer Strategic Clinical Network (SCN) seeks people 18 years of age and older who moved to Canada in the last seven years, and who have experienced or have a loved one who has experienced a cancer diagnosis in the province.

The aim is to better understand factors that impact the access of newcomers to cancer diagnosis resources. Participation is completely voluntary.

Participants will be asked to attend one of two in-person sessions at the JBS Centre on June 26, 2023. Participants can choose the 4 p.m. or 7 p.m. session. Language interpretation services will be available and participants will be offered a gift card in the amount of $25/hour of participation.

For more information and to register, visit the SCN website, contact Adebola Odebode at adebola.odebode@albertahealthservices.ca, or call 780-246-6202.

According to AHS, SCNs advance improvements in specific areas of health and work provincially to develop integrated, sustainable solutions to complex, multidisciplinary challenges.
