BARBARA “BARB” JUNE HERRING, of Lethbridge, formally of Edmonton, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, July 7, 2023, at the age of 79 years. Barbara was well loved and will be dearly missed.

Ernest & June Wiber had seven children, of which Barbara was the second oldest. Barbara herself had three children and seven thriving grandchildren. She saw a lot of life, love, and family.

Barbara lived much of her life in Alberta under the big sky she loved. Professionally she practiced family law in Edmonton for many years.  Personally, she was a caring person, a loving mother, sister, and aunt.  Barbara had a cutting, dry humour and a sweet tooth.  She was a curious soul and a lifelong learner, known to be an avid reader.  She enjoyed her garden, the Beatles and cooking.

Above all, Barbara was a careful listener. She loved people and their stories.

It was Barabara’s decision to retire in Lethbridge, a city near family which she loved and felt was her home.

A Celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB on Wednesday, July 12th, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Glenda Wert officiating. The Service will be live-streamed and viewed on Barbara’s obituary on the Cornerstone website.

Following the Service, Barbara will be laid to rest in Royal View Memorial Cemetery.
