More than 1,400 rides provided by Operation Red Nose
LETHBRIDGE – Operation Red Nose is being hailed as a success once again in Lethbridge.
Volunteers provided 147 rides on New Year’s Eve to bring the total to 1,159 over the 12 nights the service was offered. Eoin Colquhoun with Pronghorn Athletics is pleased with the numbers.
“Right on par with most years,” he said. “We did have that one year where we had a record-breaking year in 2011, but we were well over 1,000 rides this year and it continues to be a pretty big campaign for us.”
Pronghorn teams will benefit from a total of more than $44,000 collected in donations. More than $690,000 has been raised over the past 22 years.
