The August 24 lineup is headlined by Lethbridge local Shaela Miller. The country singer has played major festivals including the Calgary Stampede and Big Valley Jamboree, and her album ‘Big Hair Small City’ placed fourth on Edmonton-based CKUA’s top 100 albums of 2021.

Lethbridge rock band Tube Dog and singer Tyson Borsboom round out the August 24 lineup.

August 25 will see Armond Duck Chief, a country singer from the Siksika Nation, headlining the musical performances. His 2016 album ‘The One’ was nominated for the Juno Award for Indigenous Music Album of the Year. He will be joined that day by local singers Tyler Moulton and Bailey Kate.

On the final day, Calgary-based artist T. Buckley will take the stage as a headliner. Buckley received Canadian Folk Music Awards nominations for Emerging Artist of the Year in 2020 and Songwriter of the Year in 2023. He also won a Calgary Music Award for Folk Recording of the Year in 2022.

He will be joined on the August 26 roster by Lethbridge country-rockers the Cody Hall Band, as well as RebelAngels 50’s.

Mike Warkentin, Lethbridge and District Exhibition CEO said, “There aren’t many things better than live music and cold drinks under the midway lights on a warm summer day or night.”

Warkentin added, “We’re excited about our entertainment lineup and truly believe we’re highlighting some of southern Alberta’s best artists.”

In addition, Whoop-Up Days has partnered with the Blackfoot Confederacy to bring live entertainment to the stage from 1 to 3 p.m. all three days.

The full Whoop-Up Days entertainment schedule can be found at the event’s website. The Whoop-Up Days festival is on from August 22 to 26, 2023.
