UPDATE: One man taken into custody following high-risk incident in south Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Police in Lethbridge have charged a 70-year-old man in connection with an incident at a residence along the 1200 block of 31 A Street South on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) has taken one man into custody.

This follows a response to a high-risk incident at a residence along the 1200 block of 31 A Street South.

Police remain on scene and the investigation is ongoing. However, members of the public can resume regular use of the area.

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Details are limited but members of the Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is currently on scene of what’s being referred to as a high-risk incident.

The LPS said the incident involves a barricaded subject inside a residence along the 1200 block of 31 A Street South. The public is asked to avoid the area.
