Police investigating armed robbery in south Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is investigating an armed robbery.
The LPS said that at approximately 7:35 p.m. on September 10, 2023, officers responded to a report of a robbery at a business along the 3900 block of Forestry Avenue South. Police reported that an unknown male wearing a black mask entered the store, pointed a firearm at a female clerk and demanded that she open the register. The LPS said the man fled on foot and no money or property were stolen.
The suspect is described as a lighter-skinned man, about 20 to 25-years-old, standing 5’9” tall with a thin build. He was described as wearing a grey hoodie, black pants and a black mask covering his face.
