Kodiaks add two-time provincial champ Gabby Graves to women’s basketball roster

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge College Kodiaks women’s basketball has added a two-time provincial champion to their roster.

On September 13, 2023, the Kodiaks announced they signed center Gabby Graves to the team. Graves, a native of Raymond, played for the Raymond Comet basketball program.

With the Raymond High School basketball team, Graves won the 4A basketball provincials in 2023 and 2022.

Graves also played rugby in high school, which Kodiaks head coach Ken McMurray said helped with her development on the court.

McMurray added, “One of the things I have noticed most about Gabby is her great attitude. She’s hardworking and a great teammate, and she will fit in perfectly with the Kodiaks family.”

Graves has enrolled in the the nursing program at the college.

The women’s basketball team will face the Ambrose University Lions in their home opener at 6 p.m. on October 20, 2023 at the Val Matteotti Gymnasium.
