Drug, weapon, stolen property charges laid in Taber

TABER, AB – The Taber Police Service (TPS) said it has apprehended drugs, weapons, and stolen property.

At approximately 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, officers executed a search warrant at a home on the 6000 block of 54 Street in Taber.

The TPS said more than 17 grams of cocaine and 26 grams of methamphetamine were seized, as well as pepper spray, a butterfly knife, and “other multiple weapons.”

Police say they also confiscated Air Pods, tools, and a bicycle that were stolen out of the Red Deer area.

Theresa Marie Wallis, 41, of Taber is charged with four counts of possession of stolen property, two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, and one count each of possession of a controlled substance and disobeying a court order.

Following a bail hearing, Wallis was released from custody with conditions.

The TPS said charges are pending for a 36-year-old Taber man and a 34-year-old Taber man.
