Crews extinguish garage fire in west Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services (LFES) was called out to an overnight fire on the west side.

A total of 18 firefighters from three stations responded to a home on Blackfoot Manor West at around 1:10 a.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2023.

Upon arrival, members say they found smoke coming out from a single-car attached garage at the front of the home.

The occupants were safely evacuated and no injuries were reported.

LFES said it was able to quickly get the fire under control.

Damages are estimated between $50,000 and $75,000.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
