Police conduct high-risk search in south Lethbridge

UPDATE – September 26, 2023 at 7:01 p.m.

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) has completed its execution of a search warrant on the south side of the city.

The LPS attended an apartment along the 1100 block of 5 Avenue South. Police remain on scene and the investigation is ongoing.

However, neighbouring residents who were evacuated as a precautionary measure have returned to their homes.

The public can resume regular use of the area.

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Members of the Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) are executing a high-risk search warrant.

At 5:34 p.m., the LPS issued an advisory, and noted that officers were conducting a high-risk search at an apartment along the 1100 block of 5 Avenue South.

As a precaution, neighbouring units have been evacuated.

The public is being asked to avoid the area while the search is underway.
