City of Lethbridge announces service changes for Truth and Reconciliation weekend

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Saturday, September 30, 2023 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, and the City of Lethbridge has announced service level changes over the weekend.

These include:

Lethbridge 311- The Lethbridge 311 office will be closed on Monday, October 2, and will re-open on Tuesday, October 3, at 8 a.m.

The 24/7 self-service site available at 311.lethbridge.ca will remain open.

City Hall – City Hall will be closed on Monday, and will reopen on Tuesday at 8 a.m.

Waste and Recycling – The Waste and Recycling Centre will be open on Saturday and closed on Monday. Yard Waste sites will be open both days.

Pools & Arenas – Schedules for pools and arenas can be found here.

Animal Services – Community Animal Services will be closed on Saturday and will re-open Monday. Those with lost pets are asked to contact the shelter ahead of time and arrange a time to pick up their pet.

Transit – Lethbridge Transit will be running on its holiday schedule on Saturday. It will return to a regular transit schedule on Monday. Access-A-Ride booking and customer service will be closed Saturday, but service hours are unchanged.

Galt Museum & Archives/Fort Whoop-Up – The Galt Museum is open on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., and will be closed on Monday. Fort Whoop-Up is closed for the season.

Lethbridge Public Library – All branches of the Lethbridge Public Library will be closed on Saturday, and will re-open on Monday.

Helen Schuler Nature Centre – The Helen Schuler Nature Centre will be closed on Saturday and Monday.
