No injuries in Medicine Hat train derailment

MEDICINE HAT, AB – CP Rail said it has put a train back together that derailed in Medicine Hat over the weekend.

The incident occurred Sunday evening, October 1, 2023.

According to the railway, 10 rail cars were moving at a slow speed in the Medicine Hat rail yard when they derailed.

The company did not report any injuries, spills or leaks, or threats to the public.

By Monday afternoon, CP Rail said all of the impacted card had been re-railed.
