Kodiaks name student-athletes of the week

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge College has named Kenley Matishak and Owen Stewart as the Kodiaks student-athletes of the week.
Matishak is a second-year student from Calgary. Matishak scored the only two goals in the women’s soccer team’s match against the previously undefeated SAIT Trojans, in which the Kodiaks won 2-0 on September 30, 2023. The effort earned her the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Player of the Game honours.
Stewart is a second-year student from Lethbridge in the General Studies program. Stewart completed the third ACAC Running Room Grand Prix, hosted by Lethbridge College on September 30, with a time of 28:40. Individually, he finished seventh, however, his determination in the challenging weather helped his team to a third-place finish.
