Lethbridge County lifts fire restriction
LETHBRIDGE COUNTY, AB – Residents of Lethbridge County are advised that some burning activities are once again allowed.
The municipality has lifted its fire restriction as it said the risk of wildfires has decreased due to cooler temperatures and recent precipitation.
Fire permits are once again being issued for most burning activities. According to an advisory from Lethbridge County, permit holders can burn the following items:
- Paper products
- Untreated wood (wood or wood products that do not contain preservatives)
- Yard waste (grass/tree clippings, leaves, branches, fallen trees, brush, weeds, etc.)
- Straw and stubble
