LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes had a tough outing against their rival Medicine Hat Tigers on December 13, 2023.

The Hurricanes fell 6-2 to the Tigers at the ENMAX Centre. The Hurricanes began the game strong, jumping out to a 1-0 lead in the first period with Tyson Zimmer’s ninth goal of the season, assisted by Miguel Marques. The Tigers tied the game at one goal apiece in the last minute of the first.

In the second period, the Hurricanes reclaimed the lead at the 10:45 mark with a goal from Trae Wilke, assisted by Marques and Logan McCutcheon.

However, after Wilke’s goal the Hurricanes could not contain the Tiger’s attack. Medicine Hat scored five unanswered goals, three in the second and two in the third, to come out of Lethbridge with the victory.

With the loss, the Hurricanes fall to fourth place in their division, though they only sit one pint behind Swift Current, who is in second.

The Canes will look to get back in the win column and regain ground with a game against the Regina Pats on Friday, December 15 at the ENMAX Centre.
