LETHBRIDGE, AB – The City of Lethbridge and Lethbridge County have issued fire advisories due to the warm, dry and windy conditions.

Those who have approved fire permits from the County do not need to cancel their burn, howeverC they are asked to use extra caution.

Permit holders are reminded that burns must stop if the wind speeds go over 25 kilometres per hour.

Under the City’s advisory, recreational fires are permitted in the provided fire pits, as are propane-fueled cooking appliances. Residents are asked to properly dispose of all smoking material.

If conditions worsen, both the City and County may progress to a fire restriction or ban at any time.

Do not hesitate to call 911 if your fire becomes uncontrollable.
