Braillard named to Swiss National Junior team

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Hurricanes forward Leo Braillard has been named to the Switzerland National Junior Team for the 2024 IIHF World Junior Junior Championship.

Braillard is 18-years-old, and was acquired by the Hurricanes via waivers in October from the Shawinigan Cataractes of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. In 18 games this season, the Switzerland product has seven goals and thirteen assists.

Braillard is the second member of the Hurricanes to represent Switzerland at the World Junior Championship. The first was Luca Sbisa in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Overall, he is the 15th player to represent the Hurricanes in the tournament.
