LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Family Services’ Angel Tree is reporting a successful 2023 Christmas campaign.

According to the organization, in 2023 it served 4,253 people aged 18 or younger (682 more than last year). Each child received a gift bundle containing:

  • Something on their wish list
  • Something inspirational to fuel their imaginations
  • Something educational to nourish their minds
  • Something warm or soft (blanket, stuffie, toque, scarf, mitts, socks)

In total, over 1,200 families received gift bundles.

Angel Tree said that in this year’s campaign, over $180,000 was raised by 387 donors. From October to December, 527 volunteers donated 6,646 hours of their time to the Toy Depot.

Toy drop-off locations increased in Lethbridge and the surrounding area by 11% to 152%.

Additionally, the local sewing, knitting, looming, crocheting and crafting groups donated over 3,000 blankets, toques, mitts, quilts and handmade bears.

Angel Tree would also like to thank the community for its support.
