Coaldale RCMP respond to single vehicle collision

UPDATE – The Coaldale RCMP confirmed shortly before 11 p.m. that the collision scene has cleared.

No injuries were reported, and the Alberta RCMP thanks the public for their cooperation.

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Coaldale RCMP is on scene of a single vehicle crash.

Officials reported the incident just after 7 p.m. on December 30, 2023, and said it is at the Scenic Drive bridge in Lethbridge. According to the RCMP, the eastbound lanes of the bridge are closed. A detour is anticipated to be in place “for an extended period of time”.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and take alternate routes if possible.

The RCMP said it expects members to be on scene for several hours as police investigate.
