LETHBRIDGE, AB – Despite the temperature drop, there are still plenty of events to check out in Lethbridge this week, and Lethbridge News Now has the details.

Lethbridge Hurricanes vs. Spokane Chiefs – January 9, 2024

The Lethbridge Hurricanes are hosting Spokane on Tuesday. The Hurricanes are looking to rebound from a 3-0 loss to the Tri-City Americans. The game also marks the first time Hurricanes’ head coach Bill Peters faces his former team. Puck drop is at 7:00.

Open Mic Night – January 10, 2024

The Owl Acoustic Lounge is holding a comedy open mic night on Wednesday. The event begins at 9:00 p.m. and entry is by donation.

Nikka Yuko Winter Light Festival – November 30 – February 24

Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden in Lethbridge is hosting its eighth annual Winter Light Festival. This year, the festival has a ‘Celebration of the Seasons’ theme. The festival will be open Thursdays through Sundays.

Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour – January 11-13, 2024

The Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival, one of world’s largest mountain festivals, comes to Lethbridge this week. The three-night showcase highlight the films from over 400 entries at the Yates Memorial Theatre. Tickets can be purchased here.

Winter Big Bird Little Bird – January 11, 2024

Children aged 2-5 and adults are invited to the Helen Schuler Nature Centre for activities, games and crafts. The centre is holding new topics each week to experience the outdoors. Information on the program can be found here.
