LETHBRIDGE, AB – Though the temperature has significantly dropped this weekend, events are still happening around Lethbridge, and Lethbridge News Now has the details.

Lethbridge Hurricanes vs. Medicine Hat Tigers – January 12, 2024

The Lethbridge Hurricanes are back in action on Friday, taking on their rival Medicine Hat Tigers. The game will mark the Hurricanes debuts for Braeden Wynne and Hayden Pakkala, who they acquired in two different trade deadline deals. The game starts at 7:00 p.m.

Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour – January 11-13, 2024

The Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival, one of world’s largest mountain festivals, comes to Lethbridge this week. The three-night showcase highlight the films from over 400 entries at the Yates Memorial Theatre. Tickets can be purchased here.

Kiss a Ginger Day – January 12, 2024

Celebrate all things Ginger with a free gingersnap cookie at Cookie Crimes on Friday. At 5:30 p.m., the staff at Cookie Crimes is trying to gather as many redheads as possible for a group picture. All redheads are welcome to join, whether that is your natural hair colour, dyed, a wig or animal hair.

Nikka Yuko Winter Light Festival – November 30 – February 24

Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden in Lethbridge is hosting its eighth annual Winter Light Festival. This year, the festival has a ‘Celebration of the Seasons’ theme. The festival will be open Thursdays through Sundays.

The Owl Shows – January 12-13, 2024

The Owl Acoustic Lounge holds two shows this weekend. On Friday beginning at 9:00 p.m., three artists will be performing:

  • Built to Decay
  • 4BPM
  • New Autumn

On Saturday, Richard Inman takes the stage, also beginning at 9:00. Information can be found here.
