Holy Spirit schools open Monday, but buses not running

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Students attending schools in the Holy Spirit Catholic School Division and their parents are advised that most of its schools will indeed be open on Monday, January 15, 2024.
The only exceptions to this are Father Leonard Tighem School, which closed on Friday due to flooding, as well as the St. Patrick’s and St. Mary’s schools in Taber.
For the schools that remain open, buses will not be operational due to the extreme cold weather.
An extreme cold warning remains in effect for all of Alberta. Although temperatures are expected to moderate somewhat on Monday, wind chill values in the morning could still reach -43 degrees Celsius.
