Picture Butte man charged in connection to alleged animal abuse

PICTURE BUTTE, AB – The RCMP has laid charges against a man from southern Alberta.

On January 8, 2024, officers attended a home in Picture Butte on allegations that animal abuse had been occurring against several animals.

An official with the RCMP was not able to elaborate on the details as the matter is now before the courts.

Nicholas Whimster, 28, of Picture Butte, faces one count on injuring or endangering animals.
