Additional cash seized in connection to $1 million drug bust in Lethbridge
LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) has announced the seizure of additional items in Lethbridge.
In December 2022, the agency confiscated more than $1 million worth of drugs, which was one of the largest in the city’s history, as well $79,000 in cash.
Investigators obtained a forfeiture order for more items on January 17, 2024, and recovered over $80,000 in cash, banks drafts, a Subaru, and proceeds or instruments of drug trafficking.
ALERT Acting Sergeant Peter Clarke said the money will be used to find community crime prevention projects.
