Family Day service level changes announced in Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The City of Lethbridge is advising residents of some service level changes this weekend, as Monday, February 19, 2024 marks Family Day in Alberta.

LETHBRIDGE 311

The Lethbridge 311 contact centre will be closed. Officials said regular hours, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., will resume on Tuesday, February 20.

Additionally, 311 in-person at City Hall will be closed, with regular hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) set to resume on Tuesday.

Residents can utilize the 24/7 self-service website to have any questions answered. Urgent issues can be addressed by calling the 311 24-hour trouble line.

CITY HALL

Lethbridge City Hall will be closed on Monday, reopening to regular hours on Tuesday.

WASTE AND RECYCLING

On Monday, the Waste and Recycling Centre will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the City said there is no change to curbside collection as residential waste is not collected on Mondays.

COMMUNITY ANIMAL SERVICES

Community Animal Services and the Lethbridge Animal Shelter will be closed.

The public can access services on the website at any time. These services include dog license payments, appointment bookings, online complaint reporting and searching a list of found pets impounded at the shelter. Emergency animal control matters can be addressed by calling 403-320-4099.

TRANSIT

Officials said Ride on Demand and Fixed Route transit schedules will operate on Sunday service.

Access-A-Ride booking and customer service will run on Sunday service.

RECREATION AND ACTIVITIES

The Galt Museum is closed on Mondays, according to the City of Lethbridge. Meanwhile, Fort Whoop-Up is closed for the season and is set to reopen on June 6.

The Helen Schuler Nature Centre will be open for the holiday Monday, with extended hours from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. All branches of the Lethbridge Public Library will be closed on Monday.

Residents can also visit the City of Lethbridge website for pool and arena schedules.
